Riviera Beach, FL - Phil Bagley of Klub Sport Racing announced today that the Bruce Jennings 1969 911S #77 vintage race car will be on display this coming weekend March 12-14 at the 15th Annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in Amelia Island (Jacksonville, FL). The importance of this particular vehicle cannot be underestimated as this was the last private racer that Bruce Jennings developed and campaigned throughout the eastern United States. It was purchased in 1970 from the factory (rumored to be a backup car for the Monte Carlo Rally). It first started life as a 1969 2.0-liter 911S. As Jennings continued to race through the years, the car was developed into a 2.5-liter 911ST style race car. With its 2.5-liter motor and 8-inch and 10-inch wheels, Jennings enjoyed many consecutive starts at Sebring, and went on to race in Trans-Am, IMSA and SCCA.
The car has been recently re-acquired by Klub Sport and freshened back to its original 1977 race livery and still enjoys life in historic racing. "The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is one of the most innovative concours in the world and it is certainly an honor to have received an invitation to bring such an important vehicle to the vintage racing community to Amelia Island" said Mr. Bagley. Phil Bagley and Klub Sport Racing of Riviera Beach, Florida has been in the vintage race arena for more than 22 years and maintains a premier Arrive & Drive race support program as well as providing expert restoration services, sales and a knowledgeable vintage Porsche street repair operation.
